RickBenson. 36 posts · Joined 2018. #9 · Dec 8, 2018 (Edited) Purchased a 2017 KTM SAR brand new in December 2017. As far as the engine goes the motorcycle is very reliable after 5,590 miles. Here are the items that have had issues: 1) Fuel gas cap refused to open reliably and was replaced by KTM.

KTM 1090 vs 1190 vs 1290 Adventure R. Comparisons between the 1090 Adventure R and the new Honda Africa Twin – and, for that matter, also with the old 990 – are inevitable but let’s look at the differences between the new 1090 Adventure R and 1190 Adventure R and 1290 Super Adventure R.
It adds up on 2hr+ rides. 3) Weight + distribution. The 890 feels much different than the 1290 on and off road. On road it turns in quicker and has better front end feel in the transitions and turns, but when you are in a straight line it takes a little more input than the 1290. The stock 1190 has a lovely swell of torque that starts at about 4K, and it has a pretty quick (immediate) throttle connection. To my mind it's those things that make the 1190 such a pleasure to ride on the road. I'd hate to spend a big wad of cash to lose that or shove all the power up at the top end. #16.

Or ktm guys who says 950 is a lot better then 1190 with all means . This list goes like this some of them finds non abs brakes are far more better then abs .carburettors better then electronic ignitions.
