OkFolks, I have had the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR Lens for several weeks and I am leaning towards returning to B&H. I tested this lens extensively for my needs and I have concluded the following. The lens is sharp in the 2.8 range but not at all focal range. It is heavy. It is large. It is long. VR works great.
